Richard P. French, 90, of Newington passed away on December 8, 2020. Beloved son of the late Leon H. and Sadie (Perry) French of Bristol, VT. Born on April 20, 1930 in Bristol, VT. From the age of five Richard was raised by his late paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary J. French of West Hartford, CT.
Richard was a veteran of the Korean War, attaining the rank of Corporal. Serving in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 when he was honorable discharged. Mr. French was a life member of the VFW Post # 1195 of West Hartford and a member of the American Legion Post #117 of Newington.
