Obituary for Pauline Leger

Pauline Leger of Farmington, CT took her last difficult breath at UCONN Health Center on January 5, 2022, after a courageous struggle with several challenging medical issues. Pauline followed a Leger family history of a career in the medical field to become a nurse. She spent her nursing years in medical offices, hospitals and finally at Greenwood Health Center in Hartford, CT. She lived in the Hartford area and Southington prior to moving to California and West Virginia with her husband and returning to Farmington after he passed. Pauline was a woman full of life and many talents. Musically, she played the piano and guitar. Athletically, she was on the ski patrol at Mt. Snow, raced at Mt. Southington and was an active member of Mt. Laurel Ski Club. Artistically, she did incredible watercolors and knit beautiful pieces that she gave away. She enjoyed the company of her pets and breeding show Pomeranians. Her dog Mr. Chips was a champion.

Pauline was predeceased by her husband John McFarlane and her parents Zoel and Phyllis (Barrieau) Leger. She is survived by her sisters Annette Adams and Louise (Stephen) Kushman; her nieces and nephews Elissa (Ryan) Radmanovich, Robert (Heidi) Adams, Todd (Michele) Kushman and Andrea Kushman. She also leaves her treasured and trusted aide Lori. The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Darlene Oksanen, Diahann Wilcox and Lori for their compassionate care.
