Obituary for Nunziata Abbatemarco (Cerone)
Nunziata Farenga Cerone Abbatemarco, 73, of West Hartford, died Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born in Muro Lucano, Italy she lived in West Hartford for 50 years. She was a member of St. Brigid Church, West Hartford where she enjoyed baking cookies for church affairs. Nunziata loved spending time with her family and was a devoted Nonna to her four grandchildren.
She was retired from the Wiremold Company, West Hartford where she was employed many years.
Nunziata leaves behind Donato Abbatemarco; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Luciano and Jennifer Abbatemarco and Danny Abbatemarco, all of West Hartford; two brothers, Pietro Cerone and his wife, Lori Cerone, of South Windsor and their son her and her nephew, Alexander Cerone and Joe Cerone of Newington; her four grandchildren, Noah, Benjamin, Max and Luc Abbatemarco.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at St. Francis Hospital who took care of Nunziata while she was there.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, (March 27), 10:00 a.m. at St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Everyone is requested to meet directly at church. Entombment in the mausoleum in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. A walk through calling hour period will be Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford (masks and social distancing are required).
