Obituary for Norman L Stuart
Norman L. Stuart, 84, of Sturbridge, MA and a former life time resident of West Hartford, CT passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Quaboag Skilled Care Center, West Brookfield, MA
Born in Hartford, CT Norman was the son of the late Louis P. and Beatrice E. (Easton) Stuart. He attended West Hartford schools and graduated from Hall High School class of 1952. He served four years in the United States Navy and then graduated from Morse School of Business with a degree in Accounting and worked at Combustion Engineering for 35 years. Norman was the Chairman for the Third District Republican party in West Hartford for many years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, MaryAnn (Maloney) Stuart, and their four children: Douglas Stuart and his wife Mary, Michele Stuart, Wesley Stuart, and Pamela Kovach and her husband Robert Kovach II; 8 grandchildren: Robert Kovach III, Allison (Kovach) Batista and her husband John, Victoria Stuart, Elizabeth (Kovach) Mazurkiewicz and her husband Alex, Megan Stuart, Joshua Kovach, Rebecca Kovach, and Gianna Kovach; 3 great grandchildren: Andrew Batista, Liam Batista, and Caleb Kovach; Norman’s brother Gilbert Stuart and his wife Diane and many extended family members. Norman was predeceased by his brother, Robert Stuart.
A memorial service will be held Saturday ,December 15, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford CT. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 11:00 pm to 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
