Nicolino R. Lalama, 92 years old of West Hartford, CT died peacefully on June 10, 2021 following diverse health issues. He was born on August 6, 1928 in Pacentro, Italy to the late Enrichetta & Franco Lalama. He married his beloved wife (Anna DiCicco) in 1960 then moved to the US later that same year ultimately settling in West Hartford, CT.

Nicolino worked for the town of West Hartford for 31 years until his retirement in 1989 and continued working independently for several years thereafter often enjoying gardening and related activities.
He is remembered most as a crafted “master gardener” by friends and neighbors having grown an abundant variety of different fruits, vegetables and flowers over the years that he regularly shared with his friends, family and neighbors.

Nicolino is survived by his wife of 61 years Anna Lalama of West Hartford, CT, sister Maria Garofalo of Pacentro, Italy; beloved daughter Vilma Forastiere and her husband John Forastiere of Wethersfield, CT and their two children Anthony and Lea Forastiere and son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Alejandra Lalama of Palm Beach county Florida along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, friends and most of all fellow “Pacentranos” with whom he enjoyed spending time remembering years together.
