Obituary for Nancy O'Connor Dannahey

Nancy A. Dannahey, 90 years old of Rocky Hill, formerly a resident of Newington passed away on Sunday December 12th, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Norman Dannahey. She leaves a loving family which includes her children Frank Dannahey, John Dannahey and his wife Karina and Janet DeFrancesco and her husband Bob. She leaves 5 adoring grandchildren Ryan Dannahey (Christina), Samantha DeFrancesco, Eric DeFrancesco, Korin Dannahey and Sean Dannahey. In addition she leaves great friends and former neighbors from Tremont Street in Newington. Her current neighbors at the Ridge at Elm community in Rocky Hill will miss her tremendously, especially her card playing friends. She looked forward to playing cards every Monday and Thursday. They bonded as friends and enjoyed a variety of activities such as lunches and conversations at the river. Nancy was a prolific reader, enjoying historical novels the most. Crossword puzzles were always a challenge she enjoyed. She will always be remembered for her peaceful demeanor, intelligence, wisdom and caring heart.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 17 at 11:00 AM at St. James Church, 767 Elm Street in Rocky Hill. Everyone is requested to meet at the Church. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 16 from 5-7 PM at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
