On March 6, 2019, the illness and addiction that had stolen Michelle Tracey Bengtson’s sparkle took her life. Her friends and family will remember her for the beautiful, funny, smart and witty beacon of light that she was. Michelle was born on December 17th, 1987 in Hartford CT. She was a 2005 graduate of Farmington High School. She attended Fairfield University and graduated from UCONN in 2009. Michelle loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a caring and passionate woman who always rooted for the underdog. Michelle is survived by her mother Tracey Grenier Coyne and step father Stephen Coyne. She also leaves behind her grandmother Judith Grenier, aunts Terri (Paul) Hermann, Tobie (Ric) Racine, Tami (Rosario) Giarratana and Gail Booth; step brothers Tom (Alyssa) Coyne and Stephen (Stephanie) Coyne, Jr.. Michelle was predeceased by her father Bradley W. Bengtson. In addition to her many cousins and great aunts and uncles, Michelle also leaves behind her two beautiful goddaughters – Sophie Giarratana and McKenna Jordan and her beloved cat, Molly. Her loved ones are grateful that she is finally at peace and no longer suffering but will miss her immensely until the day they can meet again. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday March 12, 2019 at 10:00am at The Church of Saint Ann, 289 Arch Road, Avon. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford on Monday March 11, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
