Maynard A. Malenfant, 79, of Newington, beloved husband of Antoinette (Morin) Malenfant, died Saturday, February 19, 2022. Born in Caribou, Maine, he lived 30 years in Newington. Maynard loved sports and loved to bowl.  He enjoyed playing on a bowling league with his brothers in Plainville and on the Berlin Turnpike for over 20 years. He was a grocery store clerk and manager at Shop Rite for over 30 years and a member of the Lighthouse Family Worship Center. He was a hardworking man with a wonderful sense of humor who took great care of his family.

Maynard was the 10th child of a large family of 15 children, all born and raised in Caribou, ME. Besides his wife, he leaves his four children; Sheila Guilmartin and husband Greg, Huntington, VT, Sue Ann Carver and husband Joe, New Britain, CT, Frances Stankiewicz, Hebron, CT and Wayne Malenfant and wife Tracey, Marlborough, CT; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren and numerous siblings, including Florence Lynch, Presque Isle, ME, Mary Ann Anderson, New Smyrna Beach, FL, Omer Malenfant, Bristol, CT, Twilda Doherty, Nashua, NH, Raymond Malenfant, Munson, MA, Linda Malenfant, Caribou, ME, Lindle Malenfant, Terryville, CT and Galen Malenfant, Glen Bernie, MD. Maynard was predeceased by his son Brian Malenfant and siblings Doris Dubay, Murrieta, CA, Thelma Bishop, Caribou, ME, Leon Malenfant, Sun City Center, FL, Theresa Cerpovicz, Feeding Hills, MA, Valmore Malenfant, New Britain, CT and Donald Malenfant, Colorado Springs, CO.

Calling hours will be from 9:00 am to 10:30 am Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford.
