Obituary for Mary McGuire (Altieri)
Marie "Mary" McGuire of Wethersfield, died peacefully on September 2, 2018 in Rocky Hill, CT. at the age of 102. Mary was born in New York City on January 2, 1916. Mary was a member of the Corpus Christi Women's Club for many years as well as the Stitch and Chatter Club of West Hartford. She lived a long, joyous life, focused on her family, friends and loved ones that adored her.
Mary is survived by her son, Thomas McGuire of Hamilton, NJ, devoted daughter-in-law, Linda McGuire of Wethersfield, along with her grandchildren, Michael McGuire of Jersey City, NJ and Heather (McGuire) Lindstrom of Olympia, WA. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Christian Thompson, Ruby McGuire, Kirsten Lindstrom, Nicklas Lindstrom, and numerous nieces and nephews. "Lilly", Linda's beloved Bichon, always enjoyed being by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas "Red" McGuire and son, Bill McGuire. She will join them now and they can be together again.
Calling hours are Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 4pm to 6pm at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy Wethersfield. Burial will be in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield.
