Mary Lee (McNamara) Ganley, 84, of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Thomas M. Ganley, Jr., departed this life peacefully on February 23, 2021, with her children by her side. Born in Worcester, MA, daughter of the late Leo A. and Jane (Reardon) McNamara. She was raised in Hartford, graduating Weaver High School, Class of 1954. She was employed for several years at Travelers Insurance Company, where she met her husband. Together, they moved to West Hartford, established roots and raised their family. She enjoyed simple pleasures and happy endings, possessed a generous spirit, and we realize now she was even stronger than we knew. The world will be a less nice place without her in it. She will be dearly missed.

Mary Lee is survived by a son, Thomas M. Ganley, III and his wife Karen of Colchester; a daughter, Roseanne Holland and her husband Peter of West Hartford; two grandchildren, Shannon Ganley and Megan Ganley, both of NYC and two step-grandchildren, Steven Evangelista (Natalie) of Shelton and Rachel Olson (Tim) of Newmarket, NH. She also leaves her sisters, Jane Rose, Patricia Pasquariello and Maureen Chrystal; an aunt, Sr. Mary Regis Reardon; plus numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Leo A. "Pete" McNamara, Jr.

Funeral procession will be Monday, (March 1), 9:00 am from Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am in the Church of St. Brigid, 1088 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Family and friends, please join us wherever you feel comfortable, or simply join us in spirit.
