Mary Anacleto Ferreira, 93, of Newington, CT, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain.

Mary was the loving wife and companion of Manuel Ferreira for 74 years. Mother of Luis Ferreira and his wife Linda of West Yarmouth, MA, Maria Orticelli and her husband Salvatore of Middletown, CT, Annette Hinchliffe and her husband Peter of Wales, UK and Elizabeth Angers and her husband Marc of Wethersfield, CT. She leaves a legacy of 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Born in Hartford, Mary was raised in Portugal by her mother and her grandparents. She emigrated to the United States in 1958 and raised four children. She loved dancing with her husband, cooking, joking, and spending time with her beloved family.

Calling hours will be Thursday, August 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Brigid Church, 1083 New Britain Avenue in West Hartford.
