Obituary for Marta Rodriguez
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Marta Rodriguez, 69, West Hartford, CT. Surrounded by family, she entered into the service of the Lord on October 17th, 2018.
Marta Rodriguez was born on September 20th, 1949 in Salinas, PR to Maria del Carmen Giraud and Tomas de Jesus. An inquisitive, independent fighting spirit, Marta migrated to Connecticut where she completed her bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University and a 6th year degree from the University of Connecticut. Her moral and value belief system served her well as she dedicated more than 30 years of her professional life with the State of Connecticut. She was a caring, nurturing mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. She went above and beyond to ensure that her grandsons and family were well cared for and had everything they ever wanted.
Preceded in death by her sister Fela, Marta is survived by her daughter, Yanira M. Rodriguez (Arcadio), grandsons, Ethan, Mason and Jacob, fourteen brothers and sisters and countless more family and friends.
