Obituary for Lisa Shea Zeiser

Lisa Shea Zeiser, 59, of Unionville, Connecticut passed away peacefully on June 6, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Lisa was born and raised in South Miami, Florida. While working at the University of Miami, she met the love of her life, Rick. The two were married in 1986 and made their move to Connecticut. Lisa had a variety of jobs over the years, but above all her favorite was being a mom to her son Michael and daughter Caroline. Lisa lived a life full of love and laughter. Her favorite moments were spent beside her family and friends. You could always count on Lisa for a beautiful scrapbook, a house that smelled of chocolate chip cookies, the answers to this week’s crossword puzzle, or to let you know who the actor was in a show or movie you couldn’t quite put your finger on.

Lisa is survived by her beloved husband Richard, son Michael Zeiser and daughter in law, Michelle Gambacorta and her beautiful granddaughter Adeline Shea Zeiser of Buffalo, NY; daughter, Caroline Zeiser of Boston, MA ; brother Robert Shea and Diane Lizio of Milford, CT; niece Jennifer Shea and great nephew Manny Roman of Indianapolis, IN; her sister Patricia Shea and nephew David Shea Miller of Sarasota, FL; brother in law Robert Zeiser of Melbourne, Florida; her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews Kimberly and Jesse Ostrander and their children Braden, Brent, Haley and Gracie of Melbourne, FL; David and Lindsey Zeiser and their son Luke of Melbourne, Fl; Kristen and Chad Wilson of Atlanta, GA; Jaimie and Ricky Plokhaar and their children Chase and Harper of Minneola, FL; and Carly Zeiser of Atlanta, GA.

Lisa was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Dave Shea, as well as her mother and father in-law, Dorothy and Erwin Zeiser.

The family is eternally grateful to the dedicated caregivers, friends, neighbors and everyone that lent a loving hand to guide us through this difficult journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in Lisa’s honor in the form of a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.

We request all of Lisa’s friends and loved ones to join us for a Memorial Service to honor her beautiful life at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 17th at the Memorial United Methodist Church, 867 W Avon Road, Avon, CT 06001.
