Leslie Sharon Doyle, 62, died at home in Newington on Sunday, May 7, 2023 after a valiant fight with bone cancer. She was characteristically stubborn to the end, refusing to let it change her life.

Leslie was born in West Hartford to Ina (Hurlbut) Doyle and the late Thomas D. Doyle, Jr. She was a 1978 graduate of Conard High School in West Hartford. It was there that she formed a lifelong bond with her best friends Donna (Privee) Amenta and Sue (Silver) Barrows, both of whom were there for her until the end. She loved them, and her many other caring friends dearly.

After high school Leslie worked for Aetna, then tried her hand at food service, before settling on a career in bookkeeping. She worked at ORM in Farmington for many years until it closed. While there she especially loved their annual employee volunteer projects for Habitat for Humanity. Her most recent place of work was Edison Coatings in Plainville. The family thanks them for their kind support during her illness.       

Leslie is survived by her mother, Ina Doyle; her sister, Kim Morris and husband Bob; her brothers, Tom Doyle and his wife Kelley and Brian Doyle, all of Newington. She is also survived by her adored nieces and nephew, Dana McQuillan and her husband Jordan of Syracuse, NY, Kassidy Doyle and her brother Tommy Doyle, both of Newington and her great niece and great nephew, Madeline and Declan McQuillan, who were her sun and moon.

Calling hours will be Sunday, (May 28), from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111.
