Julia (Pelkey) Lis, 97, of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Adolph R. Lis, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

Born in Bristol, Julia resided in West Hartford for over 60 years. She retired from the Travelers Insurance Company and was a communicant of St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. She was an avid Red Sox fan.

Julia is survived by her sons, Paul Lis and fiancée Kim of South Windsor, John Lis and wife Nicole of West Hartford; her daughter, Judy Kindl and husband Ken of Trumbull; her brother, Edward Pelkey of Bristol; her sister, Blanche Failor of Omaha, NE and five grandchildren, Robert, Jeffrey, Andrew Kindl and Amanda and John Lis, Jr.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, (May 16) from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 1083 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford.
