Josephine Nagele, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died on Tuesday, December 9 in New Port Richey, Florida. Born on March 19, 1933 in West Haven, she was the daughter of the Concetta and Arturo Gallipoli. She was predeceased by her eight siblings: Michael, Anthony, Francis, Amadeo, Mary, Anne and Frederick, and husband, Angelo Cramarossa. She leaves her husband Frederick Nagele of New Port Richey. In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Antoinette Sullivan, and her husband, Richard, and their children John Patrick, his fiancée Rose Kelly, Micaela, and Dominic; a son, Andrew Cramarossa, and his wife, Dianne, and their children Nicolas, Jennifer, Margaret and Julia; a daughter, Carolyn Brodginski, and her husband, Jeff Gorman, and their children Emma and Gregory Brodginski, and Max Gorman; her sister, Harriet Musco, and many nieces and nephews. A spirited soul and a great friend to many, Josephine was born in New Haven. She received her education in West Haven, where she met her first love Angelo Cramarossa. They married, had children and moved to West Hartford. Josephine worked for the law area of an accounting firm in West Hartford and then in the International Department for the former Connecticut National Bank. Josephine deeply loved her family. She relished her time as a stay-at-home mom when their children were young. She took pride in nurturing them, as she did with her stunning flower and bountiful vegetable gardens. As her children grew up and after Angelo passed away in 1982, she demonstrated enormous strength in the face of sorrow. She expanded her interests and talents, dabbling in the realm of finance and investments, painting, international travel, tennis and hiking, maintaining old friends and developing new friends and social networks, where she met her second husband, Fred, whom she married in 1989. Soon, she had grandchildren to spoil. And, she enjoyed spending one-on-one time with each one of them. She shared with them her talents and skills, leaving behind a legacy of cherished special moments with grandma. After her retirement, she and Fred spent their time living between West Hartford and New Port Richey. And, later, resolved to make Florida their full-time home. Interestingly enough, many of her siblings migrated to Florida, as well. So she was able to maintain her relationships with her family for many years. The family would like to express gratitude and appreciation to the nursing, social work and medical staff at Heather Hills Rehabilitation Center in New Port Richey, for their compassion, dedication and support during the last few years of her life. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 15, at 10 AM at St. Patrick and St. Anthony Church in Hartford. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, in Hartford. Following the services, a celebration of her life will continue at the home of her daughter, Antoinette.
