Jose E. Batista, 72, of Newington, passed away on December 13, 2023. Born in Ponta Delgado Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Eduardo and Eduarda Batista.

Jose was brother to Joao (Fatima), Roberto (Ana), Emanuel (Sandra), AnaBela (Joao), Elia (Jose Manuel), Manuela (Jose), and Fatima (Joao); father to Michael and Milton; grandfather to Michael; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jose also leaves behind his caring partner of 20+ years Zenalia Raposo.

Calling hours will be Saturday, December 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
