Obituary for Jeffrey Jackson

Jeffrey Jackson, 58, of Hartford, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 8, 2022. Jeffrey is survived by his beloved daughter Sierra-Anne Jackson; his father, Leon Jackson, Sr.; step-mom, Ann Jackson; his brothers, Leon Jackson, Jr. and Allen Jackson; his sister, Linda Jackson: aunts, Teresa Fleeting and Irene Gonsalves; and his ex-wife, Laura Beaupre Gaulin. He was predeceased by his mother, Josephine ‘Phina’ Smith; step-father, Luther 'Smitty’ Smith; uncles, Frank Gonsalves Jr., Henry Brown, and Robert ‘Nick’ Fleeting; aunt, Hortense ‘Tensey’ Gonsalves; and grandmothers, Grace Gonsalves and Emily Thomas. He also left a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends that were dear to him. Jeffrey will be deeply missed and held dear in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Jeffrey was born in Hartford, CT on July 23, 1963, to the late Josephine Gonsalves and Leon Jackson Sr. He was a devoted father and number one Dallas Cowboy fan. Many knew him as a gentle giant. His love for his daughter was unmatched and he was always there for those when they needed him. He loved spending time with his fluffy companion, Leo Jackson, his kitty grandson. An avid football lover and homebody at heart. He would only leave the house if the “DALLAS COWBOY” game was not on TV or if his Goddaughter Jazmine Daniels came to town!

Family and friends will gather Friday, May 13, 2022, from 4pm to 7pm at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 14, at 10am at St. Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford.
