Obituary for Gordon M Worley
Gordon M. Worley, 75, of West Hartford, much loved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully at his home January 14, 2019 surrounded by his devoted family. He was born April 8, 1943 in Hartford, CT and was a lifelong resident of West Hartford. Gordon attended Conard High School and then served in the US Air Force from 1960 - 1963 and received an Honorable Discharge. He retired from United Technologies, Fuel Cells Division after forty years of service.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Beth (Eicholtzer) Worley; a son, Gordon M. Worley, Jr. and his wife Christine of Harwinton; a daughter, Elizabeth P. Sagan and her husband Scott of Suffield; six grandchildren, Logan and Nathan Worley, Amber, Johnatan, Emilia and Megan Fabi; a brother, James Guerra of West Hartford; two sisters, Ann Concatelli of Rocky Hill and Susan Gevry of North Windham.
Calling hours will be Thursday, January 17, 6 - 8 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Funeral Service will be Friday, January 18, at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
The family would like to thank the McLean's Hospice team for their committed care. They would also like to thank the many Home Sweet Home Care aids with a very heartfelt thank you to Francis Amouh who cared for Gordon with dignity, respect and tender compassion in his final months, he quickly became part of the family.
