Gisele Poulin Bodozian died peacefully on Wednesday July 22nd, 2020 at Avery Heights. She was born and raised in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Henri Louis & Emilia (Grenier) Poulin. She attended St Anne’s school and graduated from Hartford Public High School in 1958. She was a graduate of E. C. Goodwin Technical School of Practical Nursing receiving her nursing license in December 1964. As a nurse she was employed in the emergency room of Hartford Hospital and then the Visiting Nurse Associations of Hartford and New Britain as a home care nurse. At other times she worked in various capacities in skilled nursing facilities, did private duty and as a coordinator of staffing services in profit and non-profit agencies.

In addition, she was an active member of her church and very devoted to her religion. At St. Anne’s church in Hartford, she helped formulate the Parish Council Constitution after Vatican II, was President of the Parish Council and a Trustee and Lector for several years. When she moved to West Hartford she belonged to St. Timothy’s and served on the Pastoral Council Liturgy Committee, Music Committee, Parish Greeter and Funeral Support Group. She loved to entertain and was a gourmet cook who enjoyed sharing fabulous meals with family and friends always with fine wine and classical music in the background.

Gisele was predeceased by her loving husband Harry and four brothers. She leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Marcel and Jean Poulin of Farmington, two sisters-in-law, Elaine Poulin from South Windsor and Peggy Poulin from Bellefontaine, Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Avery Heights on Station 3 and her cousin Rolande for their friendship, caring and support.

Gisele was a wonderful lady who worked with my mother, Aggie Donnelly at the New Britain VNA and they became very good friends. As time went on my mother moved to the Jerome Home. Gisele made it a point to visit my mother every week. My mother always lit up seeing Gisele. If Gisele could not visit for some reason she would call and let me know!! Gisele was such a regular that the nurses and staff at Jerome Home always asked about her. She became friends with them as well!! A great lady who will be missed, now visiting with my other once again!! Jim Donnelly

To All Gisele's Family,
I have not seen Gisele in many years, but we did socialize in our younger years. I will always remember her positive attitude, capacity to have fun, and wonderful warm smile!
May your happy memories of Gisele sustain you in your time of grief.
With Sincere Sympathy,
