Gertrude Bach (Jacobson)
Gertrude Jacobson Bach, of West Hartford, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of August and Gertrude Jacobson. Mrs. Bach was employed for over 25 years at Sears and retired in 1998. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling, music, and crafts. She was a true New Yorker and always loved going into the city. She was predeceased by her husband Sherwood Bach and her sister Josephine Herman. She leaves two sons, and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Ann Bach, Bradley and Rosemarie Bach; and grandchildren Michelle, Allison, Jason & Tyler, a niece and several nephews.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, 11 a.m., at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Friends may call at the funeral home Today, Wednesday, July 13 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Lovetta Dennis who provided full time loving home care for Mom during the past 4 years.
