Frances Poirot Reardon, 87, of Hartford died Thursday (October 2, 2014) at Avery Heights. Frances was born October 10, 1926 in West Hartford and lived in the area most of her life. She was an accomplished Classical Pianist and enjoyed playing at family sing-a-longs. She was a Director of Volunteers for the American Red Cross and she also did an extensive volunteer work after her retirement. Frances was survived by her daughter, Kathleen Riordan of Barkhamsted; her three nieces, JoAnn Martinson, Maureen McClay and Susan Kelly; three nephews, Jeff McCabe, Cory McCabe and Scott McCabe. She was predeceased by a son, Sean Reardon and a granddaughter, Mary Riordan; two sisters, Leona Kelly and Marie McCabe. Funeral procession will be Saturday, October 11, 10:00 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 am in St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Burial will be private. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the funeral home.
