Frances F. Rodríguez, 96, of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Manuel Rodríguez, to whom she was married for 50 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was affectionately known to her family and friends as Paquita.

Born in Holguín, Oriente, Cuba, she resided in the United States for the past 55 years. She retired from Aetna Inc. Frances enjoyed sewing and loved gathering with her family.

Frances is survived by her two daughters, Maria Chavez and her husband, José; Mayra de Loureiro and her fiancé, John Piquette; four grandchildren, Richard Chavez and his wife Eileen, Brian de Loureiro and his wife Melissa, Mark de Loureiro and his wife Candace, Lauren Frenette and her husband, Adam; and seven great-grandchildren, Gabriela, Samuel, Benjamin, Thomas, Nicholas, Trevor, and Brandon. She was predeceased by her eldest grandson, Alexander Chavez.  She will be missed beyond measure.

Calling hours will be at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, Wednesday, November 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 1, starting at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 872 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frances’ memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
