Obituary for Florence Gosselin (Nowosielski)
Florence (Nowosielski) Gosselin, 87, of New Britain, beloved wife of the late Joseph Roger Gosselin, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 at home. Born in New Britain, she and her husband moved to west Hartford to start a family and remained there for the majority of their lives.
Florence was a dedicated member of the Church of St. Timothy, West Hartford and encouraged others in their faith. She was a gourmet cook who enjoyed sharing her culinary skills with everyone. Her signature spaghetti and meatballs Sunday lunches were “priceless” family gatherings. Mom was a woman gifted in many ways (artistry, painting, decorating, mentoring) and could have had many careers, but chose to be a loving mother of 12 children.
Florence is survived by her children and spouses, Gregory and Rita Gosselin, Beverly and Elliott Peterson, Cynthia and Leigh Gammie, Deborah and Steven Scribner, Carol and Scott Dineen, Linda Hill, Nini and Roger Gates, Elizabeth and Brian Rich, Diane and Michael Giordanella, Matthew Gosselin; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister Jenny Chapados. Florence was predeceased by two sons, Jeffrey Gosselin and David Gosselin and a grandson, Troy Gammie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, (March 13), 10:00 am at The Church of St. Timothy, 1116 North Main Street, West Hartford. Burial will in Mt.
