Obituary for Fiorinda Zullo (De Pasquale)

Fiorinda Zullo, 78, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully Friday (January 8,2021) at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Apice, Italy on January 11, 1942, the daughter of the late Ciriaco De Pasquale and Giuseppina La Verde. Fiorinda took pride in caring for her family and friends. She could cook anything, anyone who came to her home was greeted by a snack or meal. Fiorinda and her husband were avid gardeners, to this day their garden is talked about by many. She had the sweetest smile that made everyone feel loved and safe. She is survived by her daughter, Antonietta “Toni” Carreira and her husband Paulo of West Hartford. Her two granddaughters (that she would do anything for), Kristina and Sabrina Carreira, she was a grandmother before anything and she would do anything for her girls. Her memory will live in their hearts forever. She leaves her only niece here in the United States, Maria De Pasquale and her husband Andrea Danti of Nashville, TN. She also leaves her brothers, Nicola, Thomas, Lorenzo, Eugenio, their wives; many nieces and nephews all in Italy. Fiorinda will be greeted at the gates of heaven by the love of her life, Paolo Zullo and will be embraced by her son, Michelangelo "Mike" Zullo. She has waited to be with these two again. She will also join her brother Antonio and his wife Mina. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Masonicare especially her nurses, Sharon and Eric.
A Mass of Christian Burial, will be Thursday, January 14, celebrating Fiorinda’s life at Saint Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford at 11:00 a.m. Due to COVID 19 restrictions those who can not attend are welcome to visit Fiorinda’s tribute page on the funeral home's website as the service will be streamed. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery where she will be laid to rest, along with her son Mike in the family plot.
