Eufemia Rosa DeAlmeida, 94, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Born in Malhundes, Vale de Cambra, Portugal, where she lived most of her life, Eufemia is survived by her husband Antonio Pinho to whom she was lovingly married for 76 years.

She was predeceased by her son Humberto Pinho and her sisters and brother. Eufemia leaves her beloved children, Joaquim and M. Adelina Pinho of Newington, Antonio and M. Filomena Pinho of Farmington, M. Irene and Ernesto Tavares of Newington, M. Adelina and Antonio Moreira of Rocky Hill and Jose Carlos and Ana Pinho of Newington.

She also leaves her cherished 11 grandchildren, Anabela (Paulo) Cerdeira, Marco (Rute) Pinho, Paulo (Christina) Tavares, Daniel (Lea)Pinho, Ricardo (Anne Marie) Tavares, Luis (Becky) Moreira, David (Rossi)Pinho, Jason(Liz) Pinho, Nelson (Christina) Moreira, Alyssa (Luis) Oliveira and Daniella Pinho and her 10 great grandchildren Andrea, Alex, Payton, Ava, Jake, Lila, Hannah, Oliver, Nora and Ian. She also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews and an extended family here and in Portugal and Canada.

Due to Covid19, a private funeral for the family will be held. A Mass will be held at a date to be determined. Thank you to all the healthcare workers who brought comfort to her when the family was not able to.
