Obituary for Erick Joel Rodriguez
On Monday, November 1, 2021, Erick J. Rodriguez, loving son, brother, uncle and friend passed away at the age of 36.
Erick was born on June 6, 1985, in Caguas, PR to Aida Bermudez, his mother, whom many knew as the light of his life. He was a very determined young man and was filled with many dreams. He worked hard to continue his personal and professional growth and always had a positive attitude. Erick was an IT Specialist at Hartford Hospital and dreamed of one day moving to Florida and building a life where he could provide for his mom, upon her retirement.
He loved to be surrounded by friends and was always filled with adventure, constantly seeking new places to spend time with nature and explore. He was a dependable, consistent friend with the biggest heart. Erick was one in a million and he had a way of leaving an imprint on every life he touched. He was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Erick is survived by his mother Aida, his siblings and his niece and nephew whom he adored. Erick will forever be remembered as the most loving and selfless person, many of his friends and family will keep his memory alive and honor the great man that he was. His presence and bright aura will be deeply missed.
Service Details: Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home located at 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, CT from 4 – 8 PM. Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 12th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, located at 79 New Park Avenue, Hartford, CT followed by interment at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT.
