Eleanor O. Vaughan, of West Hartford, passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 98. She was born on July 28, 1925, in New Britain, CT, daughter of the late John and Mary (Caccamo) Ortola. She was predeceased by her loving sister, Viola Berardinelli. Eleanor attended local schools and Moody Secretarial School. She applied for a government job in Washington, D.C. in 1946. Her security clearance approved, she worked for the FBI. Pending the clearance, she worked for the Washington Post. After her time with the FBI, she transferred to other government agencies and retired from the IRS. Eleanor served four years in the Navy Reserve, Non-Combat, in Springfield and Washington D.C.
