Elba Marti, 74, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2022. She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and resided in Hartford, CT. She was predeceased by her parents Juan Marti and Maria Martinez. Elba is survived by her children Rosa Nydia, Marisol, Carmen, Israel, Juan and Rosa Maria Negron who she raised along with Saul Negron, former husband and father of her children. She is also survived by her partner Epifanio Santiago, seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.

As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. Elba was the happiest when she was around her family and always made light of any situation. Her contagious laugh and beautiful smile were her best features. She was known as the Queen of Sass with her red lipstick and blue eyeshadow. Elba was loved, is missed and will always be cherished.

We know that we can’t have you but were happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back. Goodbye to a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family.
