Obituary for Edward J Re
Edward J. Re, 84, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the McGraw Center for Caring in Jacksonville, Florida, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving wife, Pamela and his family.
Ed was born in Hartford on Aug. 4, 1934, son of the late Angelina (Vaccari) and John J. Re. He was also predeceased by his aunt, Florina ( Zia), his sister, Irene and his nephew, Donald. He was the Owner and President of Specialty Concrete and Stone Inc. prior to his retirement to Florida in 2011. He loved Nascar racing, old time country music and most of all his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, John J. Re of Newington, Michael A. Re (Francie) of Newington CT, and Lori Lynn Sizemore (Michael) of New Hampshire; step-children, Robert McKeown (Lisa) of Jacksonville FL; James McKeown (Brenda) of West Hartford CT, Thomas McKeown (Kim) of Enfield CT, Tracy (Gary) Eisenman of Enfield CT, Philip Barret (Vickie) of Enfield CT, Thomas Barrett of Windsor CT, Michael Barrett (Donna) of Newington CT, and Chris Barrett of East Long Meadow MA, four grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild and 3 step-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, January 5, at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford with a reception to follow at the VFW in West Hartford.
