Diane M. Fallon, Age 78, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024. Diane was born in Hartford on October 17, 1945. She is predeceased by her loving parents J. Frank and Janet M. (Parker) Fallon of Hartford, as well as her eldest brother Frank W. Fallon of West Hartford and youngest brother Michael J. Fallon of Wethersfield. Raised in Hartford, Diane was a graduate of Holy Trinity High School. In 1980 Diane joined the Hartford Police Department. She served the city for over 20 years, retiring at the rank of Detective. During her time as an officer, she was most proud of her years spent as Officer Friendly, serving the children of Hartford. After her retirement Diane joined the Webster Hill Garden Club and enjoyed spending time with her family and pets. Diane was a devout Catholic and very proud of her Irish heritage. Diane will be remembered for her spirited personality and love of the ocean.

Diane leaves to cherish her memory, her brothers and their spouses, Gary Fallon and Tina of Madison, Mark Fallon and Janina of West Hartford, and her sisters-in-law Patricia Fallon of West Hartford and Sheryl Fallon of Wethersfield. Diane also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Carolyne Martin, Frank J. Fallon, Jennifer Hemingway, Meaghan Takla, Katherine Fallon, Michael Fallon, Teaghan Fallon, Agnes Gonet, and Gregory Surman. Of special note her great-nieces and great-nephews whom she adored, Tayler Fallon, Frank Fallon, Fallon Hemingway, Patrick Hemingway, Alexandra Gonet, Elizabeth Gonet, Charles Takla, and Clara Takla.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Diane will be held at St. Brigid Church, 1083 New Britain Ave., West Hartford on Friday, April 26, at 10am. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford.
