Daniel A. DaCosta, 93, of Pinellas Park, Florida, died peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2020 with his family by his side. He was beloved husband for 47 years of Maria Arlete DaCosta. Born January 11, 1927 in Freixiosa, Mangualde, Portugal, he immigrated to the United States in 1943. He resided in East Hartford before moving to Florida. He was co-owner of ERA II Construction for many years until his retirement. He was a man of deep faith and was comforted reading his favorite passages from the bible daily. He leaves two daughters, Nancy Querido and her husband Luis of East Hartford, and Judi Corado and her husband Jose Manuel of East Hartford; and a son, Jose DaCosta and his wife Dora of Seminole, Florida; three grandchildren, Luis Querido, Garret Corado and Joseph, Jr. DaCosta; two great grandchildren, Daniel and Lucia Corado. He leaves a special sister-in-law, Rosa Monteiro and her husband Jorge of East Hartford; several nieces and a nephew; and a special godson, Daniel Gaspar. He will be greatly missed, leaving many cherished memories behind. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday (March 8) from 4-7 p.m. at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford.
