Obituary for Custodia Pereira Azinheira
Custodia (Pereira) Azinheira, 83, of East Hartford, beloved wife of Manuel Azinheira, died Sunday, November 18, 2018. Born in Cortical, Portugal, she came to the Hartford area in 1975. Custodia was retired from Hartford Hospital and was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. She enjoyed cooking Friday night dinners for family, crocheting and knitting.
Besides her husband, she leaves her two sons and daughters-in-law, Nelson and Vera Azinheira of Rocky Hill and Eliseu and Lisa Azinheira of South Windsor. She was the devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren, David, Melissa, Samantha and Brian Azinheira. She also leaves a brother; two sisters in Portugal and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral procession will be Wednesday, 9:00 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Calling hours are TODAY from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
