Obituary for Conrad J. LeBlanc

Conrad J. LeBlanc, 60, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Conrad was born on December 5, 1961, to Alderic and Jeanne LeBlanc in Gardner, MA. As a child, he and his family moved to Hartford, CT where he attended South Catholic High School. At the age of 15, he began working with his father for their company Al LeBlanc & Son. Conrad was a hard worker and continued his father’s legacy, running and expanding the family business. During his adolescence, he enjoyed playing sports but especially loved playing ice hockey.  He always told stories about his ice hockey career and was excited to share his passion for skating with his daughters and grandchildren.

At the age of 20, Conrad met the love of his life, Karen. Conrad and Karen went on to have a wonderful marriage of 37 years. Conrad was blessed with four beautiful daughters and nine grandchildren and he was excited to know that the tenth grandchild was on the way.

Conrad enjoyed traveling the world with his family. He spent summers in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada. Sharing his childhood memories with his children and grandchildren brought him so much joy. More recently, Karen and Conrad traveled together visiting many tropical islands. He enjoyed beaches with clear waters and exploring new places. He was always so thrilled to bring home souvenirs for his family and friends.

Conrad was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He made friends wherever he went. Everyone who knew Conrad felt his big heart and giving nature, he was known for his generosity. He worked hard all his life to ensure his family was taken care of, especially his daughters and grandchildren. He was always one phone call away. Conrad had a witty sense of humor, ensuring everyone around him was laughing and smiling.

Conrad is predeceased by his parents, Alderic and Jeanne LeBlanc. He is survived by his wife Karen (Rodrigues) LeBlanc, their four daughters and nine grandchildren; Jennifer and Brett Sneeringer of Reading, PA and their three children Olivia, Jake and Benjamin; Nicole and Jamie Gomes of Newington, CT and their two children Josephine and Jude; Kristine and Josh Arons of Glastonbury, CT and their two children Morleigh and Levi; and Caitlyn and Nate Campagna of South Windsor, CT and their two children Lucas and Liam; his brother Claude J.
