Obituary for Cecilia "“Cesa”" Martinez (Cardona)
Cecilia “Cesa” Cardona Martinez, born on April 28, 1945 in Aguada, PR, passed away at Hartford Hospital on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. She resided in Hartford for over 59 years. She worked most of her life and retired from St. Mary’s Home in West Hartford after 27 years as a Nursing Assistant.
She is survived by her children, Maritza Aponte (Ramon), Linda Martinez, Paul Martinez, David Martinez (Kelly Ault), Jesse Martinez (Dawn), Geronimo Martinez (Amber); her step son Morgan Tracy; her grandchildren, Alexander, Chelsea, Ramon, Gabriela, Justyn, Dyann, Aja-Kai, Joseph, Jayden; her step grandchildren, Jasmine, Moses and Alexis; her great grandchildren, Christopher, Aiden, Savannah, Catalaya, Ava, Afton, Kiara and her step great grandchildren, Jaliyah, Mariyah and Aniyah.
She was a devout catholic and followed EWTN religiously. She enjoyed to watch The Price is Right, Let’s Make a Deal and last but not least The Voice. Her most treasured moments was spending time with her family and her babies (grandchildren). She loved the beach and to travel with her children.
Her church service will be held on Tuesday December 22 at 10 A.M., Maria Reina de la Paz 494 New Britain Ave, Hartford, CT. If you are interested, we will be laying her to rest immediately following at Mount St. Benedict 1 Cottage Grove Rd. Bloomfield, CT there will be no social gathering following the burial.
