Obituary for Benny Nasuta

Benny Nasuta, 98, of Enfield passed away at home on May 24, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine for nearly 40 years.

Born in Windsor, CT on August 19, 1923, he left school in the sixth grade to help on the family farm after his father’s tragic passing. He later went on to enlist in the Army and served in the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper. Once he returned home, he married his first wife Dorothy, and they were married until her passing in 1980.

Benny worked at Underwood Typewriter for 25 years until their closing. He then worked for Hamilton Standard as a machinist until his retirement.

Benny loved his antique Hudson cars, and proudly took them to car shows all over the country. He loved to tinker around in his garden, and shared his crops with his family, friends, and neighbors. He was an avid UConn Women's Basketball and Boston Red Sox fan and watched the games whenever he could. He enjoyed chatting about the games with whoever was by for a visit.

Besides his wife, Benny is survived by his daughter and son in law, Barbara and Armindo Pacheco of Simsbury; stepdaughters, Jeannean and Steve Terlik of Ludlow, MA, and Debbie Casarella of Enfield; grandchildren Jennifer, Kimberly, Elizabeth, Stacey, Aly, and Marc; great grandchildren Owen, Lilly, Addison, Ryan, Hannah, and Lucas. He also leaves behind his sister, Adele Huscher, of Windsor.
