Barbara Hess, age 69, of Hartford, daughter of the late Marion and Paul E Hess, Sr., passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014. Barbara was a life-long resident of Hartford and retired from Hartford Hospital after forty-three years. She leaves her sister and brother-in-law, Judith and James Bonk of Farmington and her beloved nieces and their husbands, Susan and Andrew Klie of Columbia, SC and Caroline and Scott Jamroz of The Woodlands, TX. She also leaves two great-nieces, Katherine and Hannah Jamroz. Barbara leaves a dear sister–in-law, Carol Hess of Oak Hill, WV, niece and husband Teresa and Michael Sauvageot of South Charleston, WV, and nephews and wives, Lantz and Cindy Hess of Fayetteville WV and David and Trudy Hess of Beaver, WV. She also leaves six great-nieces and nephews, six great-great-nieces and nephews all of WV, an aunt, Marjorie Davis and numerous cousins especially Bill Waters, Heidi Waters Swain, Jill Larmett, and Meg Burgess. Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Paul E. Hess Jr.
There will be no calling hours. Sheehan- Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home in West Hartford is handling the arrangements.
