Assuncao Marto Santos, 96, beloved wife of the late Jose Inho Santos, died Monday, December 3, 2018. Born in Mira de Aire, Portugal, she came to Hartford in 1960 and lived in West Hartford for 33 years. Assuncao was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford and was retired from St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. She loved cooking and gardening.
Assuncao is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Adriano "Andy" and Elaine Santos of East Hartford; her granddaughter and her husband, Adriana and Jeffrey Bernabeo of Glastonbury and a great-grandson, Zachary Bernabeo.; her sister-in-law, Maria Santos of Wethersfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral procession will be Friday, (Dec. 7), 9:00 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Kane St., Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Thursday, (Dec. 6), from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
