Antonio Resendes Dos Reis, 82, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Liduina (Alves) Reis, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, he came to Hartford in 1969. Prior to his retirement he was employed at Spencer Turbine. Antonio was an avid gardener, great cook and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford, a founding member of the Holy Ghost Society, East Hartford and former president of the General Assembly of the Holy Ghost.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Joseph Reis; two daughters, Elizabeth DiBella and Anna Kubish and her husband, Michael; two brothers, Jose Reis and Manuel Reis; a sister, Maria Sousa and three grandchildren, Grant and Gavin DiBella and Stephanie Kubish. He was predeceased by a sister, Isabel Sousa
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, (June 1), at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
