Obituary for Antonio M. Pedro

Antonio M. Pedro, 73, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Maria Baptista Pedro, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 12, 2020 surrounded by his family. Born in Agua de Alto, Azores, Portugal, he was a resident of West Hartford for 41 years. Antonio was employed at Spencer Turbine, Windsor for many years, prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Portuguese Society, East Hartford and a dedicated member and communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford Antonio was a avid gardener and was proud of his roses and fig trees. He was also very talented making many different wooden crafts, that were enjoyed by many people.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Lizette Crispim of Enfield and Judy Ferreira of West Hartford; three sisters, Maria Fatima Quiterio of FL, Maria Ana Araujo of East Hartford and Tiberia Araujo of Azores, Portugal; two grandchildren, Francisco Pedro Ferreira and Sofia Pedro Ferreira and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give thanks to Dr. Gorusu, the Infusion Center and all the staff for their care and support.
Funeral procession will be Saturday, (January 18), 9:15 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Entombment will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Friday, (January 17) from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Closer to Free Fund (Smilow Cancer Center), Yale New Haven Hospital, Office of Development, PO Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508-9979 or Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Kane St, Fatima Square, Hartford, CT 06106.
