Antonio Correia Medeiros, 91, of Cambridge, MA, formerly of Hartford, CT, beloved husband of the late Olivia (Chaves) Medeiros, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

Born in St. Miguel, Azores, Portugal, Antonio came to Hartford in 1967. He worked very hard to provide for his family, working at St. Francis Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, Town of West Hartford and Copaco, from which he retired.

Antonio leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Victor Marques; a granddaughter and her husband, Marylee and Pedro Monteiro; a great-granddaughter, Tania Olivia Monteiro; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lidia and Joao Machado and Maria and Jose Melo; a sister-in-law Isaura Correia and several nieces and nephews. Antonio also leaves behind his partner of many years Helena Puim and her family.  The family would like to express a special thank you to Jose Puim, Veronica Puim and Maria dos Anjos Andrade for all their extra love and help. Besides his wife, Antonio is predeceased by his brother Virginio Correia.

Calling hours will be Monday, (January 30) from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Hartford. Entombment will be in the mausoleum in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
