Obituary for Antonia "Toni" Ledesma (Marrero)
Antonia “Toni” (Marrero) Ledesma, 89, of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Salvador Ledesma, died Saturday, April 3, 2021. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she lived in Connecticut since 1962 and in West Hartford since 1969. Antonia was a nurturing person; family always came first. She retired from the Travelers Insurance Co.
Toni loved her personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart, soul and mind. She was the best friend one could ever have. She was kind and compassionate and put the needs of others before hers. Her favorite past times included sewing and gardening in her yard.
Antonia leaves her son, Steven Ledesma of Bristol; two daughters, Janet Ledesma of Newington and Rebecca Griffin of East Hartford; her brother Hector Marrero and a niece, Deborah Muniz of Bronx, NY; two grandchildren, Jett Ledesma and Brooke Ledesma. She also leaves her dear friends Carmen Cecilia and Marion Sierra and family and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Friday, (April 9), 11:00 am at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. A walk through calling hour will be prior to the service, with social distancing from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com
