Obituary for André Brodeur

André Brodeur, 60, of West Hartford, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, at home.

André was born October 5, 1961, in Hartford, CT to the late Rosaire Brodeur and Germaine (Raymond) Brodeur of West Hartford.

André served his country as a mechanic in the U.S. Air Force. He was a security guard for the State of Connecticut and was a long-haul cross-country tractor trailer driver for many years. He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and member of the Knights of Columbus. André loved to serve his Church. This brought him so much joy and peace. He proudly smiled when he spoke of the Church.

One of André’s many passions and favorite pastimes was woodworking. He enjoyed being in his workshop creating gifts and spiritual crosses for others. Another passion of his was to read Stephen King novels. He had quite an impressive collection.

André is survived by his mother Germaine Brodeur as well as numerous cousins in both Connecticut and Canada, which was one of his many favorite places to visit. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His woodworking will live on!
