Aime F. Boulanger Jr., 82, of West Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
Born July 28, 1939 in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Aime and Paulina (Svirk) Boulanger. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia (Boulanger) St. Laurent. He is survived by his brother Paul, sister-in-law Susan (Brack), and goddaughter Lisa Boulanger, her spouse Carlos Brody, and their son Mateo Brody; goddaughter Monique (St. Laurent), her spouse Tom, and their children Logan and Molly Hazlett; and special friend Cynthia Pavey.
Aime joined the Marines right out of high school, where he trained at Parris Island, and took up electronics. After an honorable discharge, he used his electronics skills in work at Anderson Labs making delay line systems. Later in life he worked at the American School for the Deaf.
Aime was active in his church, the Church of Saint Timothy, where he volunteered, and was a Eucharistic Minister. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In his youth, Aime was an Explorer Scout, and later served as a Boy Scout leader. He was an avid skier, and volunteered in the National Ski Patrol. He was a gifted violinist and attended the Hartt School of Music to pursue that interest. He also worked for a time as an EMT and was a friend of Bill W.’s for many years. He was well-loved by all whose lives he touched.
A Graveside Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 11, 2022, at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Ln, Middletown, CT.
