Obituary for Adele M Pac (Szewczyk)

Adele M. Pac, 92, of Hartford passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on Monday December 3, 2018. She was the cherished wife of the late Frank Stanley Pac Jr., and the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Szewczyk. Adele was born and raised in New Britain but lived in Hartford most of her life where she worked as a data entry keypunch operator for Aetna for many years until her retirement. She was a devoted catholic and was an active member of St. Brigid Church and the Ladies Auxiliary in Elmwood. She loved acting and belonged to the Producers Guild in Hartford. Adele's biggest joy was raising her six children and many grandchildren of whom she was incredibly proud. Her demanding role as a mother and grandmother allowed her to find the humor in everything. Anyone who knew Adele could attest she had an unmatched wit, a spirit so bright, and a smile that could melt your heart. She provided endless entertainment through her storytelling. Adele spent her last years at Avery Heights where she remained until her passing. She laughed and joked with everyone there and was known as a talented, kind, loving woman with a wacky sense of humor. When you visited her you always left with the happiest feeling. Adele played the piano, was an animal lover, enjoyed Bingo, puzzles, a good gossip magazine and game shows-most especially Wheel of Fortune.

Adele is survived by her children Ronald Pac Sr., Donald Pac and wife Carleen, Cynthia Violette and husband Mark, Larry Pac and wife Gabriela and Lydia Pac. She was predeceased by her eldest son Frank Pac III, survived by his wife Martha. Adele is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer, Stephanie, Ronald Jr., Shane, Mary Ivy, Donald, Rachel, Alexandra and Kyle and great grandchildren Jack and Ava Adele. We will all miss her terribly. The family wishes to thank Avery Heights for their years of compassionate care for Adele.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, (Dec. 7), 11:00 a.m. at St. Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. Visitation and burial services will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Catholic Charities, 839Asylum Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105.
