Bertrand Lucien Simard, 90, of Zephyrhills, Fl, beloved husband of the late Dolores (Lemire) Simard and Theresa (Thtreault) Simard, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Born in Martinville, Quebec, Canada, he lived in the Hartford area for many years and in Florida the past 30 years.
Bertrand leaves a son, Bertrand L. Simard, Jr., of Patterson, New York, his daughter and son-in-law, Marielle and Steven Swinson of West Hartford; his granddaughter Breonna Simard of Dover, Deleware; a brother, Gilles Simard of Quebec, Canada and a niece and a nephew.
Funeral procession will be Saturday, (July 14), 10:30 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 467 South Quaker Lane, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hour will be prior to the funeral procession from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the funeral home.
