Obituary for Francis William Alberto

Francis William Alberto of West Hartford, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Milford, Massachusetts on April 21, 1931 to Francesco and Giulia (Gala) Alberto. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Barbara (Morris) Alberto, and five children and their spouses: Francis & Nancy Alberto of Singapore, Susan & Joseph Faenza of West Hartford, Julie & William LaBarge of Downingtown, PA, John & Christine Alberto of New Monmouth, NJ, and James & Tina Alberto of Uxbridge, MA. Frank’s grand and great-grandchildren were the joys of his life. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren: Tom, Chris, Austin, Alexa, Bruce and Lilly Alberto, Matt (Shannon), Michelle and Rob Faenza, Zack (Annie), Jared (Ashlan), Luke and Sam LaBarge and 2 great-grandchildren: Grayson and Sutton LaBarge. Frank also leaves his sisters, Mary Ciaramicoli of Milford, MA and Gloria DePaolo of Hopedale, MA; and many nieces and nephews. Frank graduated from Milford High School and apprentice school which led to a life-long career in engineering at Wyman-Gordon Corp where he retired in 1989. He raised his family in Hopedale, MA and took pride in his children and their many successes. Frank and Barbara retired to Cape Cod where he enjoyed family, friends, and golf. In 2000, they moved to West Hartford to be closer to their children and navigated the Northeast for every celebration, recognition, recital, concert, and sporting event under the sun for all his treasured grandkids. Frank was a faithful communicant at the Church of Saint Mark the Evangelist, where he led the rosary at daily Mass.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Church of Saint Mark the Evangelist, 467 South Quaker Lane, West Hartford. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. The calling hour is from 10 – 11 at St. Mark’s preceding the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Hartford Healthcare at Home Hospice or a charity of your choice.
