Obituary for Concetta Tordonato (Cianci)
Concetta Cianci Tordonato of West Hartford was called into Our Lord's loving arms on July 7, 2018. She was born in Canicattini Bagni, Sicily on April 4, 1930. Concetta was predeceased by her husband Corrado Tordonato and a son-in-law, Christopher Lawler.
She leaves to mourn, her children, Louis Tordonato (Cheryl) of North Carolina and their children, Christian Tordonato, Laurie Topolewski and Carrie Tordonato, Sebastian Tordonato (Candace) of Virginia and New Hampshire and their children, David Tordonato and Katherine Clendening, Santina Lawler of West Hartford and her children, Christopher Lawler, Emilio Volpe and Mary Concetta Volpe. In addition she also leaves 5 great-grandchildren.
Concetta was a seamstress who was sought after for her unique talent that she acquired in Italy as an apprentice, at a very young age. She immigrated to this country in 1960 with her husband and three children and she defined the American Dream. She will be missed as much as she was loved.
Funeral procession will be Saturday, (July 14), 10:30 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Brigid Church, West Hartford.
