Obituary for Beverly Frances Konopka-Keller

On April 12, 2018, Beverly Frances Konopka-Keller (BK) picked up her harp and set off for the pearly gates to join her soulmate, Ken, who predeceased her in March 2011. Frequently, she quipped about the harp, "If they won't let me in the front gates - I'll just go around to the back door and plunk on this thing until the gatekeeper gives up and lets me in!" Born May 31, 1941 in Washington, D.C. to the late Joseph and Frances (Balakiewicz) Konopka, Bev was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and Quinnipiac University. She lived life to the fullest. Loved, laughed, met challenges, welcomed all, comforted, shared, wept, grieved, prayed, and encouraged - always with a quick smile just a wink away. Bev leaves the greatest joy and light of her life, her lovely daughter, Yan Qin. She also leaves a very special sister-in-law, Linda Konopka of Clinton. She was also predeceased by her brother Kenneth Michael Konopka. A Mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Stanislaus Church, Eld St. New Haven at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com.
