Obituary for Angelo Pereira Louro

Angelo Pereira Louro, 82, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Guilhermina (Januario) Louro, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, peacefully with his family by his side. Born in Val Florido, Santarem, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose Francisco Louro and Julia Rosario Pereira, he became a U.S. citizen and lived in West Hartford many years. Angelo loved the outdoors, where he worked as a mason, carpenter, farmer and dabbled in everything and was good at it. He was a communicant off Our Lady of Fatima Church in Hartford. Angelo was a tag sale enthusiast, always looking for a deal. He enjoyed volunteering his time, most recently with The Family Resource Center, Grandparents Circle, Charter Oak School and also the Elmwood Senior Center. "He always was willing to lend a hand, kindly and with a sense of humor, especially with family and wonderful friends".
Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lina Louro-Marques and Artur Marques of West Hartford; two grandsons, Kristopher and Aaron Marques; a sister, Maria Celeste Rafael of Hartford; a brother-in-law, Antonio Louro of West Hartford; an aunt, Costodia Pereira of Portugal; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends here and abroad.
Funeral procession will be Monday, (Nov. 13), 9:00 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Sunday, (Nov. 12), from 3 to 5 pm at the funeral home.
